Picturesque villages, beautiful beaches, cozy and warm places, and the necessary cultural attractions make for a picture-perfect holiday in Ibiza. An excellent Mediterranean climate, a clear blue sea, and a short flight will complete the picture. You’re probably thinking right now that you want to book your vacation in Ibiza as soon as possible. Wouldn’t you like to know the possibilities and some tips for a comfortable stay? Here are some of the most beautiful places that you should not miss during your vacation in Ibiza!
1) Dalt Vila
Dalt Vila is the old part of Ibiza Town (Eivissa in Spanish) and the city’s historical center. It is a beautiful place that can be discovered by zigzagging through the winding streets. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason, and it is well worth exploring. There is no reason to miss this place with the streets lined with cozy bars and beautiful boutiques. And while you’re at it, be sure to visit the elevated plateau called Dalt Vila (near Castell Almudaina). From here, you can see the picturesque Playa d’en Bossa and the city of Ibiza.
2) Formentera
Ibiza’s little sister is on the beautiful island of Formentera. There is a daily ferry service from Ibiza that connects the two islands. It’s a stunningly beautiful island and a great day out. The best advice we can give you is to rent a scooter and explore the island independently. Do you like to dive? Formentera is the place to be.
3) Hippie Market Las Dalias
The Hippie Market Las Dalias is one of the most famous markets in Ibiza and is located in the mega-cute village of Sant Carles de Peralta. This hippie market takes place every Saturday and has since become more than just a hippie market. In addition to fun food stalls, you can also enjoy live music, delicious snacks, and cocktails. The primary purpose of visiting Las Dalias is, of course, to walk around the 200 stalls. Tip: Get there early! The market opens at 10:00, and you can park in the large parking lot for 3,50€. Also, be sure to visit Anita Bar, a restaurant nearby. Here you can sit in the courtyard or along the street and, of course, order some delicious snacks.
4) Ibiza’s Beaches
What makes Ibiza such a popular vacation destination is the fun parties and the beautiful blue waters, and beautiful beaches. Sun, sea, and sand are the critical elements for a successful vacation and Ibiza, for its part, has all of these. The coastline of the Spanish island is mainly composed of huge rocks, but if you look hard enough, you can find the most beautiful bays.
5) Es Vedra
You can’t ignore the rocky island of Es Vedra. This magical place deserves to be on the list of the most beautiful places in Ibiza. Unfortunately, you can’t visit the island, but you can enjoy the views of the rocky island.
6) Cala Llenya
Cala Llenya is a beautiful bay in the northeast of Ibiza. The beautiful sandy beach is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon. The beautiful blue waters are relatively calm and ideal for swimming. Sunbeds and parasols are available for rent at the beach. This is highly recommended during the summer, as the sand gets very hot. There is also a small beach bar. The beach can be accessed from the parking lot using a wooden platform. Because of the popularity of this beach, it gets very crowded, and the parking lot fills up very quickly.
7) Portinatx
To the northwest of Ibiza is the village of Portinatx. It is an old fishing village and has three bays with beaches, of which s’Arenal Gros is the largest and the central beach. Portinatx is very popular with tourists. Restaurants, hotels, and stores line the coast. The beach is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a nice day. High rocks surround the bay, the sand is soft, and the water is calm and clear. It’s also perfect for snorkeling.
